FYE#4

A quote from Gottfried von Strassburg's Tristan:

“One reads in the old Tale of Tristan that a swallow flew from Cornwall to Ireland and there took a lady’s hair with which to build its nest - I have no idea how the bird knew that the hair was there - and brought it back over the sea. Did ever a swallow nest at such inconvenience that, despite the abundance in its own country, it went ranging overseas into strange lands in search of nesting materials? I swear the tale grows fantastic, the story is talking nonsense here!"

All I want to know is if it were an African swallow or not ...

  1. . . . The lady must have had BEAUTIFUL hair or something for the swallow to go through that much trouble . . . Or MAYBE the lady was Rapunzel, so all the swallow had to do was get ONE hair to make ONE nest! :D How about that? Would it be worth the trouble then? Lol! :)

  3. Brenna, just don't listen to her. She does this occasionally, you know, the babbling, the hysterics, the new car, and it's all just a great big build-up to the ultimatest nervous breakdown in history. We've been in and out of rehab some dozen times together now (that's together, you know, like, the two of us; not counting our separate little adventures) and she still has problems waking up in the morning. But don't mind me, I just finished my paper for tomorrow. CALOO CALAY! I chortle.

  4. . . . You know, I better be careful, otherwise I'm going to start saying "CALLOO CALAY! I chortle" to some of my friends ;) . . . And they'll sit there, and go "Whhaaaat???" and I would sit there, and rub my hands fiendishly together and be secretive >:) Lol!!!!
